The ninth-ranked Madison College volleyball team is making its first trip to the NJCAA Division II National Tournament after winning the Region 4 District A title on Nov. 9.
Madison College claimed the title by defeating Harper College in straight sets, 25-14, 25-22, 25-13. The win extend the WolfPack’s current winning streak to 16 matches and improved their record to 33-4.
The last time Madison College played in a national tournament was in 2015, when it finished third in the Division III tournament. The previous two years, the WolfPack won the Division III National Title.
This year, the team will be competing in the Division II National Tournament for the first time.
Madison College secured its trip with a straight-set victory over Harper College. The first set was all Madison College, with the WolfPack racing to a 25-14 win.

But the second set was more of a challenge. Madison College trailed by five points midway through the set before a 7-0 run gave them a two-point lead on their way to a 25-22 win.
The final set of the match was another dominant effort by the WolfPack as they closed out the win, 25-13.
Outside hitter Ella Vosberg led the way with 10 kills in the match. Avery Agnew had 19 digs to put her season total at 626, just four short of the single-season record. Allie Andrews, who set a single season record in assists during the previous match, had 32 assists to extend her record to 1,087.
Madison College opened the Region 4 Tournament with a 3-0 win over McHenry County College. Madison College dominated the match on Nov. 5, winning, 25-11, 25-17, 25-12.
Caylee Coggins led the team with eight kills and two blocks, while Vosberg, Makayla Dallas and Sam Schultz each added six kills. Andrews had a team-high 27 assists, while Angew led the way in digs with six.
Madison College then earned its spot in the championship match with a straight-set victory over Rock Valley College on Nov. 8. The WolfPack won, 25-22, 25-23, 25-19.
Dallas led the way in the match with 12 kills. Andrews added 35 assists, while Agnew had 15 digs.
Madison College coach Mallory Stone was named Region 4 District A coach of the year.
The WolfPack will now travel to the NJCAA Division II National Tournament in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on Nov. 19-22.
