Eason Hurd had a home run and a double to lead Madison College to an 11-1 victory over Rock Valley College during its home opener on April 3.
Hurd finished the game with three hits to lead a 16-hit WolfPack attack.
Easton Engel also had a strong game, with three hits and two runs scored.
Noah Marschke earned the victory for Madison College, holding Rock Valley College scoreless for the 5-2/3 innings he pitched. He allowed just four hits while striking out 13 batters.
The seventh-ranked WolfPack are now 15-6 overall. They have a pair of home doubleheaders coming up, playing Kishwaukee College on April 8 at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. and Kankakee Community College on April 11 at noon and 3 p.m.
Madison College 3, Bryant & Stratton College 0
Pitchers Broden Jackson and Axel Donaldson combined for a three-high shutout as Madison College beat Bryant and Stratton College in the first game of a doubleheader on March 30.
Jackson went six innings, allowing just three hits and a walk to earn the win. Donaldson pitched the final inning to earn the save. Hurd drove in the winning run with a double in the fourth inning.
Bryant & Stratton College 10, Madison College 6
Madison College fell behind 8-1 after four innings as it lost the second game of the doubleheader with Bryant & Stratton, 10-6. The WolfPack rallied to within 8-6, scoring five runs in the fifth inning thanks to Jonah Roloff’s three-run home run, but could get no closer.
Madison College 5, Joliet Junior College 3
Freshman Casey Wambach hit a two-run double in the top of the eighth inning to lead Madison College to a 5-3 victory over Joliet Junior College in the first game of a doubleheader on March 28.
The WolfPack trailed 3-1 after five innings, scoring once in both the sixth and seventh innings to force extra innings. J.J. Wolbert led the team with two hits, including a double. Carter Lund earned the win from the mound, pitching the final two innings without allowing a hit.
Madison College 9, Joliet Junior College 3
The second game of the doubleheader saw Madison College score six runs in the fourth inning on its way to a 9-3 victory over Joliet Junior College.
Nate Novinska had two hits, including a double, to lead the WolfPack. Novinska and Ian Salvesen both had two RBIs in the game.
Madison College 7, Highland Community College 2
After going scoreless the first two innings, Madison College scored in every inning the rest of the game to post a 7-2 victory over Highland Community College in the first game of a doubleheader on March 25.
Salvesen and Wambach each had two hits for the WolfPack and drove in two runs. One of Salvesen’s hits was a triple. Broden Jackson pitched the win, giving up one run on two hits in six innings. He struck out seven batters.
Madison College 12, Highland Community College 2
Madison College scored seven runs in the first inning, including two on a Sam Moses home run, as it beat Highland Community College, 12-2, in five innings in the second game of the doubleheader. Wolbert and Savensen both had two hits and doubled in the game. Chase Baker earned the win from the mound, allowing two runs on two hits in three innings pitched.
Pima Community College 10, Madison College 5
Pima Community College scored seven runs on eight hits in the fifth inning as it upended Madison College, 10-5, on March 20 to conclude the WolfPack’s spring break trip to Arizona. Madison College was held to five runs on five hits in the game. Wolbert led the team with two hits and two runs scored.
Chandler-Gilbert CC 15, Madison College 10
After rallying to take a 9-6 lead in the sixth inning, Madison College allowed four home runs to lose, 15-10, in a nine-inning game with Chandler-Gilbert Community College on March 19. Madison College was led by Quinn Falish, who had four hits in six at-bats. Beau Bloxdorf added three hits, while four others had two hits.
Madison College 6, South Mountain College 1
Starting pitcher Broden Jackson held South Mountain College to one hit through five innings as Madison College posted a 6-1 victory in nine innings on March 18.
Novinska and Moses both had one hit and two runs batted in to lead the WolfPack at the plate. Wolbert and Novinska both had doubles in the game.
Madison College 8, South Mountain College 3
A five-run fifth inning put Madison College in the lead to stay in an 8-3 victory over South Mountain College in the first game of a doubleheader on March 17. Braylen White and Moses led the team with three hits each. Moses had three runs batted, hit a triple and scored once. Noah Marschke was the winning pitcher, allowing two runs in five innings.
South Mountain College 10, Madison College 0
Madison College was shut out and held to just four hits in a 10-0 loss to South Mountain College in the second game of a doubleheader. South Mountain scored six times in the bottom of the first inning to take command of the game.
Madison College 12, Mesa Community College 5
A three-run home run by Hurd in the eighth inning helped secure a 12-5 victory for Madison College against Mesa Community College on March 15.
The home run was one of eight extra-base hits for the WolfPack in the game. Matt Gruber and Moses both had triples, while Gruber and fourt other players had doubles.
Madison College 6, Williston State College 1
Quinn Falish hit a three-run double to spark a five-run third inning as Madison College upended Williston State College, 6-1, in the first game of a doubleheader on March 14. Engel hit a solo home run in the game, while Nate Novinska added two hits.
Madison College 15, Williston State College 13
Madison College jumped out to a commanding 9-2 lead in the third inning, then had to hang on for a 15-13 victory in the second game of the doubleheader as Williston State College rallied with six runs in the final inning. Moses and Novinska both had home runs in the game, with Moses and Salvesen both collecting three hits.
Madison College 11, Western Nebraska Community College 1

Madison College opened its spring break trip to Arizona with a 10-4 victory over Glendale Community College in the first game of a doubleheader on March 12. Moses led the team with two hits, including a double, and scored twice. Carter Lund earned the victory pitching 3-2/3 innings in relief without allowing a run.

A close game became a blow-out when Madison College scored eight runs in the fifth inning and six runs in the sixth inning to beat Glendale Community College, 17-1, in the second game of the doubleheader. Bloxdorf and Salvesen both had three hits in the game, while Gruber added two. Noah Musolf pitched the win, allowing one run on two hits in five innings.
