The Wisconsin Bakers Association hosted a cake and cupcake competition at the Midwest Foodservice Expo in Milwaukee at the Wisconsin Center from March 9-11.

Fourteen students competed in the student division from Madison College’s Baking and Decorative Arts Program, where they faced six other technical schools in various categories.

Cakes and cupcakes were to be made beforehand and transported to Milwaukee where they were to present their cakes.

Students competed in the 2020 Creative Cake Decorating Competition with a theme of “Wisconsin Foodie.”

Madison College students took the top three spots in the Creative Cake Decorating Competition. Nicole Stark finished in first place, Elaine Rouse in second and Audrianna Woodford in third.

The top two spots in the Creative Cupcake Competition went to Madison College students as well. Woodford finished first, while Elizabeth Peltekian was second.
