Madison College Public Safety

Officer David Manthey, Public Safety Officer

Public Safety Officers respond to many calls for service and we communicate our activities to the college community.  Here are some of our recent notable incidents:

On Oct. 9, Public Safety along with the Madison Fire Department responded to a student having a seizure at the Truax campus.  The student was then transported to a nearby hospital.

On Oct. 19, Public Safety received a harassment complaint in which repeated inappropriate comments were made between two students. The suspect student has been identified and referred to the Behavioral Intervention Team. If you are a student with safety concerns or feel you are being harassed on campus, please notify Public Safety immediately.

On Oct. 25, Public Safety along with the Madison Fire Department responded to the Truax campus for a staff member with chest pains. The staff member was then transported to a nearby hospital.

On Oct. 29, Public Safety along with the Madison Fire Department responded to a student having a seizure at the Truax campus. Public Safety officers rendered aid until Madison Paramedics could transport the student to a nearby hospital.

On Oct. 30, Public Safety responded to a parking complaint in the Truax student parking lot E for an illegally parked vehicle blocking someone in. The vehicle was subsequently towed.

We want to remind everyone that parks a vehicle at Madison College to be sure they are in designated marked parking stalls only.  Parking along curbs is prohibited.
