Madison College students get recognized for their leadership and management skills during statewide competition.

DECA is a marketing organization that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management. The DECA State competition held in Madison, Wisconsin simulated real-life business scenarios and tested their leadership and management skills. Madison College’s DECA, led by Advisor Steve Noll, picked up a total of seven awards and all qualified to go to Internationals in Washington DC April 15 and 16, 2016. Patricia Sugden and Rebecca Waraczynski won first in Emerging Technologies, Dan Roberts and Heidi Mahoney won second in Emerging Technologies, Eli Miller won second in Banking Services, Mathew Clerkin won second place for Hotel and Lodging, Hunter Dunn won first place for Fashion Merchandising and Marketing, Shawn Roach qualified in Marketing Management Anthony Wilcox placed third in Restaurant and Food Management.
