
Student Life is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated students to serve as Orientation Leaders for this summer. Help spread the word and nominate students who would make great leaders. Being an Orientation Leader is a fantastic opportunity for students to make a lasting impact by welcoming and guiding new members of the Wolfpack community.
Role of an Orientation Leader
Orientation Leaders play a key role in WolfPack Welcome events, helping new students transition smoothly into college life. Responsibilities include:
- Creating a friendly and inclusive atmosphere for incoming students.
- Leading campus tours and highlighting key resources.
- Organizing icebreakers and group discussions.
- Sharing personal experiences and advice about college life.
- Promoting diversity and inclusivity among new students.
- Answering questions about academics, student services, and extracurriculars.
Commitment and Session Dates
Students selected for this role will assist in WolfPack Welcome sessions at Truax and Goodman South campuses. Preference is given to those available for all sessions. All dates and times below will be at the Truax Campus (Goodman South to be determined in the near future). Training will take place for this position in July, and will be communicated later on.
- Aug. 5, 9 a.m. to noon, Truax.
- Aug. 8, 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., Truax.
- Aug. 8, 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., Truax.
- Aug. 10, 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., Truax.
- Aug. 14, 9 a.m. to noon, Truax.
- Aug. 17, 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Truax.
- Aug. 20, 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Truax.
- Aug. 27, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Truax.
Eligibility
To apply, students must:
- Have completed at least two semesters at Madison College (since Fall 2024)
- Be enrolled in Fall 2026 classes
- Have a cumulative GPA of 2.25 or higher
