Madison College’s Truax Café began providing certified Halal options at its Grab and Go meal station on March 23. The move is part of the cafeteria’s effort to offer food inclusivity for all students. 

In a written statement, the college’s Dining Services affirmed its commitment to offering diverse, inclusive dining options and thanked students who assisted in the process. 

“We would like to sincerely thank the students and student groups who assisted in facilitating the roll out of this pilot.We are committed to continually improving the overall dining experience for all our students. It would not be possible without students’ invaluable feedback,” the statement read. 

The effort to provide Halal options came about through a collaboration including Dining Services, Muslim Student Association and several students and student groups.
