Next up in the Intercultural Exchange’s Catching Culture Series is “The History of Soul Food,” featuring Chef Marissa of Marie’s Soul Food. The event will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 11, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Truax Room C1430. The event is free and open to all students.
In honor of Black History Month, we have invited Marissa to share her connection to soul food, her journey into entrepreneurship, and ways we can continue to support Black-owned businesses. Afterwards, attendees will have the opportunity to taste a sample of a classic soul food dish.
The Intercultural Exchange’s Catching Cultural Series is a monthly program designed to create opportunities for students to learn about cultures beyond their own, while also encouraging participants to share their own cultural identities and experiences.
