WolfPack women’s soccer wins conference title again

A 2-1 win over Harper College on Oct. 5 assured Madison College of its sixth-straight North Central Community College Conference title.
Madison College has won the conference title every season since 2017, which was coach Matt Schwartz’s second season with the team.
Liz Foye scored both goals for Madison College in the victory against Harper College. The first goal came 10 minutes into the match, off a pass from freshman Madison Johnson.
But Harper tied the match later in the half, scoring at the 33 minute mark.
The match remained tied until Foye scored again off a pass from Lexi Kulow with 13 minutes left to play. The goal was Foyes fourth of the season and the 11th of her career.
Harper College actually had more shots in the match, 15-11. Madison College goalkeeper Morgan Thompson had 10 saves, her second most of the season.
Madison College is now 6-3-2 overall and 3-0 in conference play. The team wraps up the regular season on Oct. 12 with a home match against Joliet Junior College.

Madison College 0, College of DuPage 0

Both teams had their chances, but neither was able to score as Madison College and College of DuPage played to a scoreless tie on Oct. 8. Thompson made eight saves in goal to help Madison College avoid a loss.

Bryant and Stratton College 4, Madison College 0

Madison College was shut out at home for the second time this season, falling to Bryant and Stratton College, 4-0, on Sept. 30. The WolfPack has lost to Bryant and Stratton in all five matches the two teams have played.
