Big Ten football is back! I am excited for another exciting season for the Badgers and Big Ten teams this year. Let’s look at the Badgers’ schedule. 

1. Oct.24vs. Illinois

My pick: Wisconsin 

I am not surprised by this even though we lost at Illinois last year. They learned the lesson and will not make the same mistake this year. 

2. Oct.31vs. at Nebraska 

ESPN’s football power Index matchup Predictor: Wisconsin 87.5% chance to win the game. 

My pick: Wisconsin 

Okay, so I think the predictor put a high percentage for Wisconsin’s chance to win this game. I do agree with the prediction that Wisconsin will be able to win this game, but it will be a lot closer game than people think.  

3. Nov.7vs. Purdue

My pick: Wisconsin 

Purdue hasn’t been amazing at college football for a while, and the Badgers should be fine. 

4. Nov.14vs. at Michigan 

ESPN’s football power Index matchup Predictor: Wisconsin 77.5% chance to win the game. 

My pick: Michigan 

Wow, high number. I hope that the predictor is right, but Michigan at home is no joke to any team. I think this is the toughest game that Wisconsin will face this season, and if the Badgers beat Wolverines, there will be a serious talk about playoff and possible New Year’s six bowls.  

5. Nov.21vs. at Northwestern

My pick: Wisconsin 

For some reason, Wisconsin struggles at Northwestern. Don’t underestimate the Wildcats.  

6. Nov.28vs. Minnesota

My pick: Wisconsin 

I am sorry Minnesota about the last year. 

7. Dec.5vs. Indiana 

ESPN’s football power Index matchup Predictor: Wisconsin 83.5% chance to win the game. 

My pick: Wisconsin 

I don’t think the Badgers will lose at home this season, sorry Indiana.  

8. Dec.12vs. at Iowa 

ESPN’s football power Index matchup Predictor: TBD 

My pick: Wisconsin 

This may be the second toughest game of the season. Iowa and Wisconsin are the top 2 candidates representing Big Ten West division, which means that whoever wins this game has a high chance to play against the Big Ten East division. Iowa’s schedule has some tough games (Michigan State, at Minnesota, at Penn State.)  

My prediction of Wisconsin season: 8-0 (in my heart) 

Likely: 7-1 (losing either Iowa or Michigan) or 6-2 (possibly losing both against Michigan and Iowa) 

Let’s get cheese curds and forget about everything: 5-3 (losing against Nebraska, Michigan, and Iowa)
