Those of us who enjoy the vibrant and colorful fights seen from the WWE Divas have a similar live experience available to us in Madison – the roller derby program Mad Rollin’ Dolls.
At a roller derby event you can expect to see shoulder hits and fallen skaters. It truly makes you think of World Wrestling Federation Divas on wheels.

Roller derby was created as a form of entertainment in the 1930s, during the time of the Great Depression. In a day before Roe vs. Wade, was teams of brazen women, a curious display of power and speed on wheels, strangely attractive fitting no curtailed role as females were supposed to do.

Perhaps you crave the exhilaration of shameless body slamming and vigilant, colorful women who defend their team and title?

If you want to bask in the sass and strength of the Mad Rollin’ Dolls roller derby, the next game will be at The Alliant Energy Center Coliseum on Saturday, Feb. 3, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Expect tickets to run between $12 and $15 dollars. The Alliant Energy Center is located at 1919 Alliant Energy Center Way, Madison.
