Baseball team sends 11 players on to compete at 4-year schools

Team success and individual success seem to go hand-in-hand for the Madison College baseball team.

After a season that saw the team go 42-12 and advance to a record sixth straight NJCAA Division II World Series, the WolfPack baseball team has 11 players moving on to play at four-year colleges.

Eight of the players who are advancing to the next level will play for NCAA Division I schools, with the others will play at NCAA Division II, Division III and NAIA schools. The 11 players who will be playing at four-year schools next year are:

  • Mike Aiello, UW-Stevens Point
  • Ryne Blanton, Northern Illinois University
  • Tony Butler, Indiana University
  • Matt Cole, University of Central Missouri
  • Brandon Gibis, University of Illinois at Chicago
  • Sam Hurt, Kent State University
  • Mike Jordahl, UW-Milwaukee
  • Liam Kellogg, Robert Morris University at Chicago
  • Marcellus Sneed, Bethune-Cookman University
  • Westin Wuethrich, University of Washington
  • Luke Yapp, Northern Illinois University

The Madison College baseball team has had 63 players go on to play at four-year schools since 2010.
