There is still a plenty of room to join Costco Rotisserie Chicken Fan Club

When you are popular, there is a webpage created for you. Well, that is the case for Costco Rotisserie Chicken. As of today, around 19,000 people have liked the page, and I joined the bandwagon today. Yes, there is still plenty of room to join this awesome fan club.

This raised a question for some readers. Why this chicken is so popular? It is just chicken, right? Well, let’s say you are hungry. You have $5. What can you do? Okay, I know what you are thinking, $5 footlong subway. That is not a bad idea, but there is even a better deal. For $4.99, you can have a rotisserie chicken (I guess you need to have a Costco membership, so technically it costs more than $4.99, so I apologize). It is already cooked and seasoned well, so the only thing you need to do is eat. The bird is pretty big, so this can be used for multiple meals. Put in salad, sandwich, stir fry, you name it and that is the meal there. For that price, the chicken has so much potential to be used in various recipes.

Why so cheap? The cheapest rotisserie chicken that I have seen in grocery stores is $5.99, and the chicken is much smaller. I also read somewhere that Costco is losing revenue by selling the bird that cheap. However, Costco keeps the price because this chicken becomes a way to bring customers in. When customers come to Costco, most people buy more than just rotisserie (although I have seen somebody just brought 3 rotisserie chicken).

Regardless of the reason behind the cheap cost, us customers cannot stop appreciating the great price, taste and convenience. I cannot wait for the next Costco trip!
