My advice is to cherish every moment

Tessa Morhardt, Editor in Chief

As I will be graduating in May, I look back to think of all the fun and amazing times Madison College has given me.

If you are returning next year or will be beginning next semester, I have some advice.

  • Cherish every single moment that is given to you because graduation comes faster than you will ever believe.
  • Get involved with the school and make new friends wherever you are.
  • It’s okay to go to the SAC. They don’t bite.
  • Join a club. It’s the easiest way to make friends.
  • Talk to your councilors to make sure you don’t over schedule yourself.
  • Study with all the materials your teachers give you and ask them questions.
  • Go to the sporting events.
  • Don’t eat the school’s sushi in the cooler. It will make you sick! Do eat the school’s chicken tenders! They will be your favorite meal for lunch and dinner.
  • It’s okay to not finish within two years.
  • It’s okay to change your major.
  • I will tell you, you will have multiple break downs but that’s okay! You will get through it and you will become stronger from it.
  • Stress is always a thing if you procrastinate. So DON’T PROCRASTINATE!!!
  • Don’t forget to message your mom on how school is going!
  • Look at the syllabus the teacher gives you and plan ahead. It will save you in the long run but remember your teachers can change the syllabus at any time.
  • Be honest with your teachers. If you are having trouble shoot them an email and they will help you. They aren’t out there to try to make you fail.
  • The school has free tutoring! Use it!
  • Read your emails!
  • Stay positive. You will get through it.
  • Get a job! The school has so many job opportunities.
  • Do your homework and turn it in on time. It’s easier to get ahead with homework than be late and get points taken off.
  • It’s okay if you fail. We all do! It’s part of life.
  • Our school has free food at most events! Go to the events you will learn a lot! Plus FREE FOOD!!!
  • Lastly don’t forget to have fun and enjoy yourself.

I know you’re not going to follow everything on here. I didn’t but I thought someone should at least tell you about these things.
