Madison College Libraries and Student Achievement Centers are spaces on campus that are completely optional to visit, yet thousands of students, faculty and staff choose to grace us with their presence every year. They visit for reasons ranging from technology support, help finding resources for assignments, assistance with assignments, a relaxing environment, a quiet place, and in some cases, a lively atmosphere. In all instances, it’s a place where they feel welcome. As wonderful as these spaces are, we wouldn’t be able to maintain them without the help of our incredible student workers.
I would like to take this opportunity to express gratitude to our student workers. These individuals have risen to the top of the interview pile, accepted their positions, consistently showed up, and put in the effort to help create these welcoming spaces. Their smiling faces and unique personalities have made our spaces better. They are helpers, and the world needs more of them. Thank you for all that you have done to support us throughout another school year. For those of you who are graduating, know that you will be missed.
