Damage to parked cars reported

Public+Safety+reminds+students+to+report+any+damage+to+vehicles+caused+by+parking+lot+incidents.
Public Safety reminds students to report any damage to vehicles caused by parking lot incidents.

Recently there has been an increase in reports of damage to parked vehicles.  If you observe somebody hit a parked vehicle and drive away, contact Public Safety and provide a description of the vehicle.
If you hit somebody’s parked vehicle, you should leave a note and contact Public Safety to report it.  Remember there is plenty of parking available on campus.
There are parking lots further from the building that don’t see very much traffic.  If you are concerned about your vehicle being damaged, consider parking in these areas.
Also a reminder that it is not advised to leave your vehicle on campus overnight.  If you must leave it due to an emergency or mechanical problems, please be sure to secure your valuables and keep your vehicle locked.
If you need to leave a vehicle overnight, please notify Public Safety so the vehicle does not end up towed.
Public Safety is always available 24/7 by calling 245-2222.  Remember that if you have a class that runs into the evening, Public Safety can escort you to your vehicle.  Stop by the window at the Public Safety office, B1240 at the Truax campus, or call 245-2222.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me at [email protected] or give me a call at 608-243-4165.
