WolfPack Volunteers program needs you

Madalyn Breunig, Staff Writer

Students at Madison College have a great opportunity to get involved in the community this fall with the WolfPack Volunteers. Formerly known as the Service Learning Academy, the WolfPack Volunteers still need student participants this semester.
WolfPack Volunteers helps pair students with a non-profit organization in the local area. This is a semester long program, where students commit to volunteering two hours a week for 10 weeks.
Any student who is enrolled in a degree credit class is eligible to participate.
The purpose behind the program is to not only get students involved in their community, but establish relationships with other volunteer organizations.
Students will gain skill sets such as time management, communication, diversity amongst cultures and professionalism.
There are also many other volunteer opportunities all semester if the WolfPack Volunteers doesn’t fit your schedule. Check out WolfPack Connect for updates on future events.
The deadline to sign up for WolfPack Volunteers is Sept. 15. The link for more information or to sign up is https://students.madisoncollege.edu/volunteer-center.
