Food and Community Resource Fair planned

Tessa Morhardt, Editor in Chief

Madison College will be hosting a Food and Community Resource Fair where students are able to ask questions and learn more about what the Madison College Student Food Pantries provide on Tuesday, March 10 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Truax Cafeteria Mall.

“For me, it’s all about teaching and educating students about resources,” wrote Denise Holin, a Student Health Educator. “A lot of what students share is that money is tight.”

“I think a barrier is they may have not been exposed to eating healthy, finding resources or balancing a budget. The larger goal of the Cupboard is about nutrition education.”

Partnering with community initiatives such as the Keep Food Pantry, Second Harvest Food Bank, Covering Wisconsin, River Food Pantry, Community Action Coalition, and the Willy Street Coop.

I you want to learn more about the resources in your community that can help provide you support when in need, stop by the Food and Community Resource Fair.
