Making the holidays happier for those in need

Tessa Morhardt, Editor in Chief

Santa’s Wish List is looking for volunteers and donations.

The holiday season is coming up quick with less than a month away from Christmas. This is usually a great time of spreading joy and happiness, and in this spirit, Madison College is helping students who can’t afford to give their family gifts. This is a great time to help support your community.

Student Life is looking for volunteers to help with the Santa’s Wish List event. Whether it be to organize the gifts or to wrap the gifts. They are also looking for people to help donate gifts.

To make a donation:

  • Pick one or more ornaments with children’s holiday wishes from the Giving Tree (located in Student Life). Go to the Student Life office and register you name with the front desk to gift.
  • Shop for your gift donations.
  • Return your unwrapped gift donation to the Student Life Office (Truax B1260 or Goodman South Campus 109).

There will be a tree located at both the Truax and Goodman South campuses. Donations are also able to be dropped off at either Student Life office.

If you have any more question about how you can be involved with this event whether it is donating or helping out Student Life you can contact Brianna Stapleton Welch at [email protected] or you can make an appointment with her at her office in Truax Room B1260B.
