Madison College Public Safety

Officer Alfred Arthurs

Public Safety Officers respond to many calls for service and we communicate our activities to the college community.  Here are some of the notable incidents from the past couple weeks.

On April 8, Public Safety Officers tabled for sexual assault awareness in the cafeteria mall. Officers educated students, staff and faculty on facts and myths surrounding sexual assault. Officers also handed out teal ribbons, wristbands, teal frosted cupcakes and raised donations for the Rape Crisis Center.

On April 10, a Public Safety Officer located a trespasser at the Downtown campus. The Officer identified the individual, warned them for trespassing and escorted them out of the building.

On April 11, a Public Safety Officer received a report of domestic violence that occurred off campus. The Officer investigated the incident and assisted the individual with reporting the incident to the City of Madison Police for further investigation.
