Madison College Public Safety

Public Safety Officers respond to many calls for service and we communicate our activities to the college community.  Here are some of the notable incidents from the past couple weeks:

On Nov. 26, an officer located a woman who was lost at the Commercial Avenue campus. The woman attempted to hide from the officer and was forgetful. She was deemed unable to care for herself and was taken into custody by the Madison Police Department for a mental health evaluation.

On Nov. 28, Public Safety along with the Madison Paramedics responded to an elderly male with an injury at the Downtown Campus. The man was taken to a nearby hospital for further evaluation.

Public Safety Update

As the weather becomes colder, more people will be driving to campus. This mean there will be less space to park. We would like to remind everyone there is additional parking space in the overflow parking lot just south of Student Lot K by the Robin Roberts Baseball Field on Straubel Street.

Snowfall is just around the corner! Now is a great time to register for Wolfpack Alerts.

Please visit our website for registration instructions: madisoncollege.edu/public-safety. Smart devices and older phones are both compatible.

In addition to our Facebook page, we have a Twitter account!  Be sure to follow @PublicSafetyMC to stay informed of what’s happening on your campus.

If you have any information regarding suspicious activity or other campus safety concerns, please contact our department at 245-2222; Public Safety Officers are available 24/7.
