Public Safety Officers respond to many calls for service and we communicate our activities to the college community. Here are some of the notable incidents from this past month.

On Feb. 11, Public Safety along with Madison Fire Rescue responded to the Truax campus for a man with a head injury. The patient showed signs of a concussion and was transported to a local hospital.

On Feb. 15, Public Safety was called to assist the Madison Police Department at the Health Education Building to take into custody an individual on a domestic violence warrant. The domestic violence incident occurred off campus. The suspect initially resisted arrest. After a brief altercation, the suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Dane County jail by the Madison Police Department. There were no injuries as a result of this incident.

On Feb. 26, Public Safety received a theft complaint from a staff member at the Commercial Avenue campus. The staff member’s wallet was taken from their desk. Some of their property was later found in a garbage can. Please remember to lock your doors and secure your belongings.
