Public Safety report for April 8

Public Safety Officers respond to many calls for service and we communicate our activities to the college community.  Here are some of the notable incidents from this past month.

On March 16, Public Safety Officers responded to a disorderly female who was reported to be disrobing.  Upon arrival Officers located an intoxicated female who was in possession of six pack of beer.  The alcohol was seized and the subject was removed from campus.

On March 24, Public Safety Officers responded to a subject trapped in an elevator.  Officers remained in contact until Madison Fire personnel arrived and extracted the subject.  Madison College Facilities took the elevator out of service for repair.

On April 1, Public Safety Officers responded to a male patient who was unconscious suffering from an unknown medical condition at the downtown campus.  Officers rendered aid until Madison Paramedics arrived and took over patient care.

Campus Safety Tip of the Month
Students and staff, with recent thefts on and around campus we are encouraging people to engrave items in case they are stolen to identify them if recovered.

Public Safety has two electric engravers that will be available upon request, please bring your Madison College OneCard and proof of purchase of the item in which you would like to engrave to the Public Safety Department,Room B1240 at Truax, to check an engraver out.
