Honors Program plans fundraiser

Clarion staff report

A fundraiser for the Madison College Honors Program will be held from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, at the Knuckle Down Saloon, 2513 Seiferth Road, Madison.

The event features an afternoon of eclectic and all-local music, with a thriving lineup and donated raffle prizes. Admission is $10, with all proceeds going to scholarships for the Madison College Honors Program students.

The event will showcase five different local musical ensembles. Acts include Yid Vicious, Acoustic Domain, Grandpa’s Elixir, Ad Hoc String Band, and Velvet Smash.

Silent auction items include golf items, local gift certificates to area restaurants, bars, nightlife and a mix of items donated by Madison College instructors.

The Madison College Honors Program is a college-wide, project-based program. Qualified students work with a supervising faculty member to develop an honors project within the faculty member’s discipline.

Knuckle Down Saloon is proud to host the fundraiser; always encouraging fun, live music. They have been an established business since 2010, bringing great eatery and Wisconsin musical masterminds to the east side neighborhood.

The event is sponsored by the Madison College Foundation.
