Public Safety report for Oct. 29

Public Safety Officers respond to many calls for service and we communicate our activities to the college community.  Here are some of the notable incidents from this past month.

On Oct. 6, Public Safety Officers responded to a theft of two laptops from a classroom at the Truax Campus.  Public Safety is investigating the theft.  Any pertinent information concerning this crime may be delivered in person or via phone to the Public Safety office at Truax room B1240, 608-246-6932, M-F between the hours of 7am and 10pm, or emailed to [email protected] .

On Oct. 15, Public Safety Officers at Madison College’s Truax campus responded to a report of a student that damaged a bench in the Wolfpack Lounge. Officer made contact with the student and referred the information to the Behavioral Intervention Team for review.

On Oct. 16, a Public Safety Officer located a student in a third floor classroom viewing inappropriate material on a computer. The student was identified and escorted off of college property. The report regarding the student’s behavior was forwarded to the Behavioral Intervention Team for review.

Campus Parking Tip
Madison College now offers a Carpool Parking area located near the Health Education Building. To be eligible for parking in this area, students are required to apply for a Carpool Permit at the Public Safety office, Room B1240, and have a minimum of three occupants in the vehicle. Students parking in this area without a Carpool Permit are subject to a parking citation.
