What’s happening?
Madison College Public Safety Department responds to many calls for service. Accordingly, we would like to keep the college community informed. Here are some of the notable incidents this month.
On Jan. 2, Madison College Public Safety Officers were driving to the South Campus when they came upon an unconscious male in the middle of the roadway. The Officers contacted Madison Police and Paramedics and rendered aid. The male subject did not regain consciousness until the paramedics arrived. Public Safety Officers assisted as needed. The subject was transported to the hospital.
On Jan. 15, Madison College Public Safety Officers responded to a fire alarm at the Truax Campus. Due to the cold weather a sprinkler for the fire safety system had frozen. The Officers worked with on-call maintenance to minimize the damage at the College.
On Jan. 17, Madison College Public Safety Officers responded to the pool at the Truax Campus for a male subject who
was suffering from an unknown medical emergency. Upon arrival, Public Safety Officers assessed the situation and determined that Madison Paramedics were needed. Public safety officers monitored the patient until the paramedics arrived on scene.
Campus Safety Tip of the Month
Cold Wisconsin winter weather is finally in full swing.
Be sure to always carry a blanket in your vehicle in case of vehicle problems. As always, drive with care during inclement weather conditions.
