
Now that the four finalists for Madison College’s next president have been selected, the District Board has invited students, faculty, staff and community members to participate in the selection process. Between March 24 and April 2, each candidate will be brought to campus to participate in a second round of interviews and open forums.
The student forum dates and times are:
- Monday, March 24, 10:30 a.m. – Dr. Dawn B. Crim.
- Thursday, March 27, 10:30 a.m. – Dr. Charles W. Lepper.
- Monday, March 31, 10:30 a.m. – Dr. Jennifer Berne.
- Wednesday, April 2 – Dr. Tim Casper.
The forums will be in Truax Room D1630 and will be streamed so students can view them online. Links will be posted on the Madison College Presidential Search page. Community forums are also scheduled for 5:15 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. each day the candidates visit and students are welcome to attend those as well.
The student forums will be recorded and shared on the student news page.

If you have questions you’d like to ask the candidates, you may submit them for consideration via this form by noon on Thursday, March 20. Due to time constraints, not all questions will be asked. Similar questions will be combined.

Here is more information about the four finalists:
Dr. Jennifer Berne is the Provost of Oakland Community College. She holds a PhD from Michigan State University, an MA from Northeastern University, and a BA from the University of Michigan. In April 2025, she will complete her MBA at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.
Dr. Tim Casper began serving as the Interim President of Madison College in January 2025. He has been with the College in various roles since 2011. Casper earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, a master’s degree in public affairs from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a doctorate in educational leadership from Edgewood College.
Dr. Dawn Crim serves as UW-Green Bay’s Vice Chancellor for Advancement, Community Engagement, and Inclusivity. She recently completed the American Governing Board Institute for Leadership and Governance in Higher Education program. She earned a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership at UW-Madison, an M.Ed. in Education Counseling from Penn State University and a B.A. in Rhetoric and Communication Studies from the University of Virginia.
Dr. Charles Lepper is the president of Grand Rapids Community College. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Human Resources and Personnel Management from Ball State University, a Master of Education in Secondary, Adult, and Higher Education from Grand Valley State University, and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Educational Leadership, and Foundations from Indiana State University.
