Do you remember the feeling you got when your favorite artist released a new album? That exciting adrenaline rush that made you jump up and down? This is how I felt when Chase Matthew dropped “Born for This”.
Chase Matthew, a new artist out of Nashville, just signed with Ryan Upchurch’s Holler Boy Records. The hit single “County Line” climbed the charts and Chase Matthew grew with vast popularity. It was only a matter of time before he released an album.
The album starts with “Raised in the Holler,” a song about a very proud southern voice, growing up on old country music and working hard for what he has.
There is a strong presence that makes this a good song to kick this album off.
Like most albums, good or bad, we experience the good emotions in “Love Like That”, wanting to find a love that will stay and treat us right. He sings about wanting someone that his mom would be proud of. Many feel that way when it comes to relationships, and he expressed his idea of perfect love.
When we remember the good times, we think of nights with friends, ones who are like family to us. In “Sunrise” we feel the happy nights of summer and hear the good times with friends. We can envision all of this in the song. He knows everything will be okay in the end and time feels endless.
The love, dedication and passion make this a memorable album. I think we will see a lot of successful albums by Chase Matthew in the future.
