The best podcasts to keep you motivated during quarantine

Tessa Morhardt, Editor in Chief

This past couple of weeks I have been listening to motivational podcasts. Not only do they help pass time, but they also help lift my mood these days. It’s good background noise while working on different projects

The top 6 podcasts that have really been motivating me these past days have been “Be Kind. Be Positive. Be Yourself,” “TED Talks Daily,” “Hurdle with Emily Abbate,” “Goal Digger,” “Happier with Gretchen Rubin,” and “Daily Boost.”

“Be Kind. Be Positive. Be Yourself” talks about many different topics such as who you are as a person, who you want to be, and what you should be doing with your life. A good friend of mine from back home created this podcast. He is so motivating and really hits home on a lot of topics that make you think about what you are doing with your life.

“TED Talks Daily” is another great podcast that makes you think about life in general. It gives you a wide variety of topics that can put you in many other people’s shoes and see how different everyone’s lives are. “TED Talks Daily” really puts you in your feelings and makes you think about your actions and how you react to certain situations. This is a really good podcast to make you mindful of your surroundings.

“Hurdle with Emily Abbate” is a podcast that goes over the daily struggles, “hurdles” that everyone from entrepreneurs to athletes goes through. Abbate hosts guests that talk about their struggles and how they get through those times. She talks about being able to place wellness into their lives. “Hurdle with Emily Abbate” can be found on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.

“Goal Digger” is taught by experts to help you achieve your goals from start to finish. It teaches you different ways to go about executing problems and gaining solutions. The host Jenna Kutcher is originally from Wisconsin. Her website gives you tools as well to help you achieve your dreams. https://podcast.jennakutcher.com

“Happier with Gretchen Rubin” talks about happiness and good habits to bring into your life. Rubin discusses these topics with her sister Elizabeth Craft. They together tackle how and what can make your life happier. Together you will go through strategies, stories, and get many tips to help you along the way.

“Daily Boost” is a great podcast to listen to 24/7. It discusses development strategies and common sense. These nine-minute sessions can lead you to return to activities and get you motivated and moving again. Many people call their lessons Scott-Logic. They got the name after the host Scott Smith.

All the podcasts listed above can be found on Apple Podcast and Spotify.
