PAC making plans for presenters and ‘Potterheads’

Anica Graney, Design Director

Ever wanted to get more involved with the fun and unique activities going on here at Madison College? Becoming a part of the Programs and Activities Council (PAC) is a great way to do just that.

This council dedicates their time to making Madison College a more enjoyable experience while students receive a higher learning education.

Publicity and Promotions Coordinator Ana Maria Moyer says, “Our mission is to provide and develop a wide variety of co-curricular and extra-curricular opportunities that promote a balanced and enjoyable education experience. All events are designed to encourage and create a safe, open, and inclusive “community spirit” at Madison College through involvement in campus activities.”

Be on the lookout for guest speakers and fun activities in these coming months.

On March 9, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., author Erika Gilchrist, owner of the largest expo for women in business, will be coming to Truax’s International Exchange Room C1430 to talk and interact with Madison College students for International Women’s Day.

“Students will have the opportunity to hear her inspirational talk, eat yummy food, participate in an art project and get the chance to win a prize!” says Moyer.

Another upcoming activity will be held on March 25 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Wolfpack Den for any “Potterheads” out there. PAC is holding a Harry Potter Quiz Party where students can engage with other Harry Potter fanatics and test their knowledge about the fantastical universe for a chance to win a prize. Cosplaying/costumes are encouraged but not required and snacks will be provided.
