Next up in the Intercultural Exchange’s Catching Cultures series is a celebration of Filipino American History Month with events on Oct. 8 and Oct. 9. Members of the Philippine-American Association of Madison and Neighboring Areas will present on Oct. 8 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. followed by the HaloHalo Food Cart Team on Oct. 9 at 11:30 a.m.
During the event on Oct. 8, the Philippine-American Association will share resources, traditions and insights about the Filipino Community in Madison.
Then on Oct. 9 the HaloHalo Food Cart Team will demonstrate how to build the ultimate HaloHalo, a colorful Filipino dessert layered with shaved ice, ube, ice cream, fruit and more. As a bonus, a limited number of HaloHalo will be served after the demonstration.
Both events are free, but attendees of the HaloHalo event need to RSVP in advance on WolfPack Connect.
