The Madison College Student Senate has officially approved the formation of the International Students Ad Hoc Committee, a new initiative designed to strengthen support for international students on campus.
The committee will collaborate closely with the Center for International Education (CIE) to ensure that student voices are heard while aligning efforts with college policies and guidelines. This partnership aims to provide additional resources, advocacy, and community for the nearly 210 international students at Madison College, representing nearly 60 countries.
The first committee meeting will be held on Monday, Sept 29, and will be open to all students. The meeting will be virtual (join using this link). During the meeting, committee members will share their roadmap and discuss next steps ahead of an upcoming collaboration with CIE.
“This committee represents an important step forward in making sure international students feel supported, engaged, and represented,” said Furkan Sindar, Reedsburg Campus Senator and chair of the committee.
Students interested in learning more or getting involved are encouraged to attend the first meeting or reach out to the Student Senate ([email protected]) for additional details.
