The Madison College Volunteer Center exists to connect Madison College students with their communities through service and action. Studies show that civic health is public health, so we strive to increase the wellness of our communities and students through volunteerism and collaboration.
Who can join your club? Any student can join the Volunteer Center.
When and where does the club meet? The Volunteer Center has monthly meetings at Truax and Goodman South, those will all be posted in WolfPack Connect so join our group there to get all of the updates. Follow us on Instagram @madisoncollegevolunteercenter for live updates.
What are some of the events and activities your club hosts throughout the year? In the Fall, one of our biggest programs is Santa’s Wishlist. We provide holiday gifts to over 200 children of student parents in financial need. We also host monthly meetings at Truax and Goodman South to help students get connected with volunteer opportunities. Join us on Oct 2 at Truax for a volunteer fair where you can meet community organizations and complete a hands on service project.
Why should students join this club? The Volunteer Center is a diverse, inclusive, welcoming community. We all come from different backgrounds but are drawn together by our love of service and improving the world around us. Also, students will get a chance to build their network and learn more about the resources available to them in the community.
Who is the club advisor(s) and what’s their email? Scarlet Martino, email [email protected].
