Public Safety Officers respond to many calls for service and we communicate our activities to the college community.  Here are some of the notable incidents from the past couple weeks.

On Dec. 12, Public Safety received a report of an individual potentially smoking marijuana in a bathroom stall.  Madison College Public Safety responded and made contact with the individual, who was found to be under the influence.  The individual was identified, warned and escorted off Madison College property.

On Dec. 20, an individual was found passed out in a vehicle on Madison College property.  Madison College Public Safety Officers made contact with the individual and found that he was under the influence of drugs.  The individual was detained until Madison Police arrived. 

  • Winter is upon us!  Drive safely and follow these winter driving tips.
  • Do not use cruise control in wintery conditions.
  • Accelerate and decelerate slowly.
  • Increase following distance to 8 to 10 seconds.
  • If possible, do not stop when driving uphill.
  • Keep your gas tank half full.
