Public Safety Update

The Public Safety Office is located in the Truax main building in room B1240. Here, you will find our dispatch center. Some of the services provided here include response to calls for service or emergencies on campus, distribution of parking permits, victim and counseling information, card/door access, Wolfpack Alert registration information and much more. Our dispatchers have direct links to surrounding public safety agencies and can facilitate law enforcement or emergency medical responses to campus.

The Public Safety Department uses the Wisconsin State Capitol Police Department to provide dispatch services during the hours of 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday-Friday and 24 hours on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Please keep in mind that if you are contacting Public Safety during those hours, the State Capitol Police will answer. Please do not hang up; you are calling the correct number. This partnership benefits the Madison College community and provides a direct link for the officers on patrol. We work closely with the Wisconsin State Capitol Police and have partnered to ensure we continue to provide a safe and welcoming community.

In addition to our Facebook page, we have a Twitter account! Be sure to follow @PublicSafetyMC to stay informed of what’s happening on your campus.
