Madison College Public Safety

Sgt. Joe Steffen & Dispatcher David Manthey

Public Safety Officers respond to many calls for service and we communicate our activities to the college community.  Here are some of the notable incidents from the past couple weeks.

On April 14, Public Safety along with Madison Paramedics responded to the Goodman Softball Complex for a female that fainted. The female was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation.

On April 17, Public Safety received a complaint of a man following females and taking inappropriate photos of them with his cell phone at the Downtown Campus. After officers contacted the man, it was determined that he was not a Madison College student.  He was then arrested for Disorderly Conduct and taken to the Dane County jail by the Madison Police Department.

Our department is pleased to announce our next “Coffee with Public Safety” event will be Thursday, May 4, in the Truax Gateway.  This event gives you the opportunity to get to know the officers that serve your district, ask questions, discuss concerns or simply enjoy some conversation. Come enjoy a free cup of coffee and snacks with us. We hope to see you there.

In addition to our Facebook page, we have a Twitter account!  Be sure to follow @PublicSafetyMC to stay informed of what’s happening on your campus.

Have you signed up to receive WolfPack Alerts from Madison College?  If not, please do so on our webpage:  madisoncollege.edu/public-safety.
