Public Safety Officers respond to many calls for service and we communicate our activities to the college community. Here are some of the notable incidents from this past month.

On Sept. 15, Public Safety Officers made contact with a student driving recklessly in the student parking lot. Officers took corrective measure for the driver however the passenger in the vehicle had an outstanding warrant and was arrested and transported by Madison Police.

On Sept. 22, a Public Safety Officer witnessed a vehicle crash on Anderson Street. The driver of one of the vehicles was unconsciousness. Public Safety rendered aid until Madison Paramedics arrived and performed traffic control until the scene was clear.

Since the fall semester Public Safety Officers have successfully completed 17 vehicle unlocks for students and staff. This service is free to students and staff. If you lock your keys in your car and you are the registered owner of the vehicle don’t hesitate to call or come to Public Safety.

Please welcome new full-time Public Safety dispatcher David Manthey. David joined Madison College on Aug. 17, he came here after three years as a police dispatcher for UW-Madison Police Department.
