Madison College invites you to experience First-Gen Journey, an art exhibition celebrating the voices and visions of first-generation college students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Hosted by the Retention Initiatives and Student Engagement (RISE) Office, this show honors the triumphs, challenges, hopes, and histories that shape the first-gen identity.
The opening event will be held on Thursday, Nov. 6, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Truax Campus Mitby Theater, Gateway Atrium and Gallery.
Schedule:
- 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Mitby Theater – Welcome from Madison College President Dr. Jennifer Berne, musical and spoken word performances, keynote presentation by instructor Matt Guenette, Tri-Alpha Honor Society Induction.
- 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Gateway Atrium and Gallery – Gallery viewing, artist meet-and-greet, light refreshments.
The exhibit will be on display from Nov. 6 through Dec. 5.
