The college is holding a children’s book drive, and donations are needed! The books will go to children attending graduation ceremonies, pinning events, and other celebrations to help them feel welcome.
The book drive is open now through Nov. 21, concluding National Picture Book Month, National Family Literacy Month, and Children’s Book Week.
What we’re looking for
- Fun and engaging books from board books to chapter books
- Culturally relevant and linguistically diverse books
- Books in usable condition, such as having all pages and if it’s a sticker or coloring books, it is unused
Please do not donate books with media (like CDs), toys, textbooks, or severely damaged books.
Drop-off details
Donations can be dropped off at any regional campus front desk or at the Welcome Center in the Truax main building.
Where will books go?
The books will be given out during ceremonies, so your donations will be distributed within the Madison College community. Any donations that cannot be used will be sent to community organizations, including the Madison Reading Project, Baraboo Literacy Network, and Books for the World.
