The Fountain hosts open mic night every Monday

Pat Kempfer, Staff Writer

The Madison music scene is alive and well, and it is turning up at The Fountain, located at 122 State Street, in the heart of Madison’s Downtown.

The Fountain is a great spot for many live performances.  This includes live radio shows, and free stand up by Madison’s best comics every Thursday night. But nothing compares to the Open Mic that begins each week.

Hosted by Madison’s own Adam Pitt, this weekly event takes place every Monday night from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. If you like live music, spoken word, rap, metal, comedy, or anything else that you can possibly think of? Well, then you need to come on down to The Fountain on Monday nights and enjoy the open mic extravaganza.

Pitt said that what takes place at this downtown Madison go-to is that it’s, “An eclectic bunch of close and closer friends, coming together to support each others music, poetry and comedy.”

If you want to watch or show off your talent and become part of this exceptional, eclectic movement do not hesitate to come down.  See you there.
